Barangay Caballero

Situated in City of Palayan, Nueva Ecija, Barangay Caballero is one of 19 barangays that make up the city within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Caballero had a population of 3,614. This made it the 4th largest of 19 barangays in City of Palayan by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Caballero accounted for approximately 7.96% of the total population of City of Palayan, which stood at 45,383 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Caballero changed from 2,981 to 3,614, a shift of +21.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Palayan. Barangay Caballero is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Palayan is a city comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Caballero, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Ecija, which contains 849 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Caballero ranks 200th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
