Barangay Magdungao

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Magdungao is one of the administrative divisions of City of Passi in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Magdungao had a population of 2,156. This made it the 17th largest of 51 barangays in City of Passi by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Magdungao accounted for approximately 2.43% of the total population of City of Passi, which stood at 88,873 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Magdungao changed from 1,819 to 2,156, a shift of +18.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Passi. Barangay Magdungao is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Passi is a city comprising 51 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Magdungao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
