Barangay Bulanon

Barangay Bulanon is a large barangay in the City of Sagay, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bulanon had a population of 8,644. This made it the 5th largest of 25 barangays in City of Sagay by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Bulanon accounted for approximately 5.81% of the total population of City of Sagay, which stood at 148,894 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bulanon changed from 8,416 to 8,644, a shift of +2.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Sagay. Barangay Bulanon is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Sagay is a city comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bulanon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Negros Occidental, which contains 662 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bulanon ranks 65th by 2020 population.
