Barangay Magsaysay

Barangay Magsaysay is a large barangay in the City of San Pedro, located in the province of Laguna, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Magsaysay had a population of 12,793. This made it the 7th largest of 27 barangays in City of San Pedro by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Magsaysay accounted for approximately 3.92% of the total population of City of San Pedro, which stood at 326,001 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 12,172 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 12,793 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Magsaysay is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of San Pedro is a city comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Magsaysay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Magsaysay ranks 65th by 2020 population. Laguna is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

The barangay's legislative and executive affairs are handled by a Punong Barangay and the Sangguniang Barangay, elected nationwide during the Barangay and SK Elections. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
