Barangay Tapul

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tapul is one of the administrative divisions of City of Talisay in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tapul had a population of 2,329. This made it the 22nd largest of 22 barangays in City of Talisay by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Tapul accounted for approximately 0.89% of the total population of City of Talisay, which stood at 263,048 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tapul changed from 1,777 to 2,329, a shift of +31.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Talisay. Barangay Tapul is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Talisay is a city comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tapul, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cebu, which contains 1,203 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tapul ranks 464th by 2020 population.
