Barangay Poblacion III

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Poblacion III is one of the administrative divisions of City of Tanjay in Negros Oriental, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion III had a population of 2,001. This made it the 19th largest of 24 barangays in City of Tanjay by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Poblacion III accounted for approximately 2.42% of the total population of City of Tanjay, which stood at 82,642 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,974 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,001 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.4%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Poblacion III is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
