Barangay Bulala

Situated in City of Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Barangay Bulala is one of 39 barangays that make up the city within Ilocos Region.

This made it the 7th largest of 39 barangays in City of Vigan by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Bulala accounted for approximately 4.04% of the total population of City of Vigan, which stood at 53,935 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bulala changed from 2,205 to 2,179, a shift of -1.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in City of Vigan. Barangay Bulala is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Vigan is a city comprising 39 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bulala, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
