Barangay Pata West

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Pata West is one of the administrative divisions of Claveria in Cagayan, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pata West had a population of 1,005. This made it the 11th largest of 41 barangays in Claveria by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pata West accounted for approximately 3.15% of the total population of Claveria, which stood at 31,900 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,004 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,005 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.1%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pata West as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Claveria is a municipality comprising 41 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pata West, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cagayan, which contains 820 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Pata West ranks 513th by 2020 population. Cagayan is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
