Barangay Caluasan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Caluasan is one of the administrative divisions of Dagohoy in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Caluasan had a population of 2,131. This made it the 3rd largest of 15 barangays in Dagohoy by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Caluasan accounted for approximately 10.72% of the total population of Dagohoy, which stood at 19,874 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Caluasan moving from 1,892 residents to 2,131 residents, an intercensal change of +12.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Caluasan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dagohoy is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Caluasan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
