Barangay Malabog

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Malabog is one of the administrative divisions of Daraga in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Malabog had a population of 4,443. This made it the 8th largest of 54 barangays in Daraga by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Malabog accounted for approximately 3.32% of the total population of Daraga, which stood at 133,893 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Malabog changed from 4,243 to 4,443, a shift of +4.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Daraga. Barangay Malabog is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Daraga is a municipality comprising 54 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Malabog, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
