Situated in Daraga, Albay, Barangay Sagpon is one of 54 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sagpon had a population of 5,303. This made it the 4th largest of 54 barangays in Daraga by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sagpon accounted for approximately 3.96% of the total population of Daraga, which stood at 133,893 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 6,587 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 5,303 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -19.5%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sagpon as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Daraga is a municipality comprising 54 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sagpon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
