Barangay San Rafael

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay San Rafael is one of the administrative divisions of Daraga in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Rafael had a population of 298. This made it the 54th largest of 54 barangays in Daraga by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Rafael accounted for approximately 0.22% of the total population of Daraga, which stood at 133,893 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 288 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 298 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Rafael as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Daraga is a municipality comprising 54 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Rafael, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
