Situated in Dauin, Negros Oriental, Barangay Panubtuban is one of 23 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

This made it the 12th largest of 23 barangays in Dauin by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Panubtuban accounted for approximately 3.44% of the total population of Dauin, which stood at 30,018 in the same census year.
