Barangay Tucop

Situated in Dinalupihan, Bataan, Barangay Tucop is one of 46 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tucop had a population of 4,580. This made it the 7th largest of 46 barangays in Dinalupihan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tucop accounted for approximately 3.87% of the total population of Dinalupihan, which stood at 118,209 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,284 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,580 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +6.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Tucop is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dinalupihan is a municipality comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tucop, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bataan, which contains 237 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tucop ranks 63rd by 2020 population. Bataan is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
