Barangay 12 (Pob.)

Situated in Dolores, Eastern Samar, Barangay 12 (Pob.) is one of 46 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay 12 (Pob.) had a population of 1,521. This made it the 6th largest of 46 barangays in Dolores by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay 12 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.41% of the total population of Dolores, which stood at 44,626 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay 12 (Pob.) changed from 1,732 to 1,521, a shift of -12.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Dolores. Barangay 12 (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dolores is a municipality comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay 12 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
