Barangay 5 (Pob.)

Situated in Dolores, Eastern Samar, Barangay 5 (Pob.) is one of 46 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

This made it the 43rd largest of 46 barangays in Dolores by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay 5 (Pob.) changed from 257 to 206, a shift of -19.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Dolores. Barangay 5 (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dolores is a municipality comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay 5 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
