Barangay Poblacion D

Situated in Dueñas, Iloilo, Barangay Poblacion D is one of 47 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion D had a population of 1,240. This made it the 6th largest of 47 barangays in Dueñas by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion D accounted for approximately 3.58% of the total population of Dueñas, which stood at 34,597 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion D changed from 1,187 to 1,240, a shift of +4.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Dueñas. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion D as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dueñas is a municipality comprising 47 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion D, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
