Barangay Anibongan

Barangay Anibongan is a small barangay in the municipality of Duero, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Anibongan had a population of 506. This made it the 21st largest of 21 barangays in Duero by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Anibongan accounted for approximately 2.68% of the total population of Duero, which stood at 18,861 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Anibongan moving from 479 residents to 506 residents, an intercensal change of +5.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Anibongan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Duero is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Anibongan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
