Barangay Bangwalog

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Bangwalog is one of the administrative divisions of Duero in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bangwalog had a population of 1,432. This made it the 3rd largest of 21 barangays in Duero by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bangwalog accounted for approximately 7.59% of the total population of Duero, which stood at 18,861 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bangwalog moving from 1,358 residents to 1,432 residents, an intercensal change of +5.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bangwalog as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Duero is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bangwalog, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
