Barangay Santa Rita

Barangay Santa Rita is a small barangay in the municipality of Dumalag, located in the province of Capiz, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santa Rita had a population of 615. This made it the 17th largest of 19 barangays in Dumalag by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Rita accounted for approximately 2.04% of the total population of Dumalag, which stood at 30,098 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 661 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 615 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -7.0%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Santa Rita is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dumalag is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Rita, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Capiz, which contains 473 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Santa Rita ranks 426th by 2020 population.
