Barangay Santo Angel

Barangay Santo Angel forms part of Dumalag, a municipality in Capiz, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santo Angel had a population of 2,559. This made it the 2nd largest of 19 barangays in Dumalag by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santo Angel accounted for approximately 8.50% of the total population of Dumalag, which stood at 30,098 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,480 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,559 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santo Angel as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dumalag is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santo Angel, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
