Barangay Parai

Situated in Dupax Del Norte, Nueva Vizcaya, Barangay Parai is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Parai had a population of 871. This made it the 12th largest of 15 barangays in Dupax Del Norte by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Parai accounted for approximately 2.62% of the total population of Dupax Del Norte, which stood at 33,295 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Parai changed from 781 to 871, a shift of +11.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Dupax Del Norte. Barangay Parai is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dupax Del Norte is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Parai, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
