Barangay Asana (Pob.)

Barangay Asana (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Famy, located in the province of Laguna, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Asana (Pob.) had a population of 531. This made it the 10th largest of 20 barangays in Famy by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Asana (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.16% of the total population of Famy, which stood at 16,791 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Asana (Pob.) changed from 528 to 531, a shift of +0.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Famy. Barangay Asana (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Famy is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Asana (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Asana (Pob.) ranks 563rd by 2020 population.
