Barangay Kapatalan

Barangay Kapatalan forms part of Famy, a municipality in Laguna, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Kapatalan had a population of 1,939. This made it the 4th largest of 20 barangays in Famy by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kapatalan accounted for approximately 11.55% of the total population of Famy, which stood at 16,791 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,304 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,939 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +48.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Kapatalan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Famy is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Kapatalan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
