Barangay Banaba (Pob.)

Barangay Banaba (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Famy, located in the province of Laguna, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Banaba (Pob.) had a population of 646. This made it the 9th largest of 20 barangays in Famy by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Banaba (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.85% of the total population of Famy, which stood at 16,791 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Banaba (Pob.) changed from 557 to 646, a shift of +16.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Famy. Barangay Banaba (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Famy is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Banaba (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Banaba (Pob.) ranks 535th by 2020 population.
