Barangay Bato

Barangay Bato is a small barangay in the municipality of Gamay, located in the province of Northern Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bato had a population of 1,101. This made it the 9th largest of 26 barangays in Gamay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bato accounted for approximately 4.71% of the total population of Gamay, which stood at 23,367 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bato moving from 1,119 residents to 1,101 residents, an intercensal change of -1.6%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. Barangay Bato is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
