Barangay Jupi

Barangay Jupi forms part of Gubat, a municipality in Sorsogon, and is classified as a small barangay.

This made it the 29th largest of 42 barangays in Gubat by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Jupi accounted for approximately 1.77% of the total population of Gubat, which stood at 60,294 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Jupi moving from 1,095 residents to 1,066 residents, an intercensal change of -2.6%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Jupi as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
