Barangay Naagtan

Barangay Naagtan is a small barangay in the municipality of Gubat, located in the province of Sorsogon, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Naagtan had a population of 956. This made it the 32nd largest of 42 barangays in Gubat by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Naagtan accounted for approximately 1.59% of the total population of Gubat, which stood at 60,294 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Naagtan moving from 975 residents to 956 residents, an intercensal change of -1.9%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Naagtan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
