Barangay Panganiban (Pob.)

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Panganiban (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Gubat in Sorsogon, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Panganiban (Pob.) had a population of 2,125. This made it the 7th largest of 42 barangays in Gubat by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Panganiban (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.52% of the total population of Gubat, which stood at 60,294 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Panganiban (Pob.) changed from 2,211 to 2,125, a shift of -3.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Gubat. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Panganiban (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Gubat is a municipality comprising 42 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Panganiban (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
