Barangay Dancalan Central

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Dancalan Central is one of the administrative divisions of Guinayangan in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dancalan Central had a population of 711. This made it the 24th largest of 54 barangays in Guinayangan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dancalan Central accounted for approximately 1.61% of the total population of Guinayangan, which stood at 44,045 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 626 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 711 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +13.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dancalan Central as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Guinayangan is a municipality comprising 54 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dancalan Central, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Quezon, which contains 1,242 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Dancalan Central ranks 781st by 2020 population.
