Barangay San Miguel

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay San Miguel is one of the administrative divisions of Guinayangan in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Miguel had a population of 204. This made it the 52nd largest of 54 barangays in Guinayangan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Miguel accounted for approximately 0.46% of the total population of Guinayangan, which stood at 44,045 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 223 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 204 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -8.5%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay San Miguel is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Guinayangan is a municipality comprising 54 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Miguel, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
