Barangay Cagdara-o

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Cagdara-o is one of the administrative divisions of Guiuan in Eastern Samar, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cagdara-o had a population of 538. This made it the 37th largest of 60 barangays in Guiuan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cagdara-o accounted for approximately 1.01% of the total population of Guiuan, which stood at 53,361 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cagdara-o moving from 488 residents to 538 residents, an intercensal change of +10.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cagdara-o as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Guiuan is a municipality comprising 60 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cagdara-o, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
