Barangay New Quezon

Barangay New Quezon forms part of Hagonoy, a municipality in Davao Del Sur, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay New Quezon had a population of 990. This made it the 19th largest of 21 barangays in Hagonoy by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay New Quezon accounted for approximately 1.74% of the total population of Hagonoy, which stood at 56,919 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 954 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 990 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay New Quezon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Hagonoy is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay New Quezon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
