Barangay Asluman

Barangay Asluman forms part of Hamtic, a municipality in Antique, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Asluman had a population of 2,665. This made it the 1st largest of 47 barangays in Hamtic by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Asluman accounted for approximately 5.06% of the total population of Hamtic, which stood at 52,685 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,296 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,665 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +16.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Asluman is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Hamtic is a municipality comprising 47 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Asluman, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Antique, which contains 590 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Asluman ranks 26th by 2020 population.
