Barangay Ajat (Pob.)

Situated in Iguig, Cagayan, Barangay Ajat (Pob.) is one of 23 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ajat (Pob.) had a population of 1,411. This made it the 10th largest of 23 barangays in Iguig by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ajat (Pob.) accounted for approximately 4.69% of the total population of Iguig, which stood at 30,060 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,399 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,411 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.9%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Ajat (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Iguig is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ajat (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
