Barangay Malabbac

Barangay Malabbac is a small barangay in the municipality of Iguig, located in the province of Cagayan, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Malabbac had a population of 1,803. This made it the 4th largest of 23 barangays in Iguig by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Malabbac accounted for approximately 6.00% of the total population of Iguig, which stood at 30,060 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Malabbac moving from 1,612 residents to 1,803 residents, an intercensal change of +11.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Malabbac is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
