Barangay Gammad

Situated in Iguig, Cagayan, Barangay Gammad is one of 23 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Gammad had a population of 1,912. This made it the 3rd largest of 23 barangays in Iguig by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Gammad accounted for approximately 6.36% of the total population of Iguig, which stood at 30,060 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Gammad moving from 1,860 residents to 1,912 residents, an intercensal change of +2.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Gammad is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Iguig is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Gammad, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
