Barangay Ilaya-Ivisan

Barangay Ilaya-Ivisan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Ivisan, located in the province of Capiz, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ilaya-Ivisan had a population of 3,903. This made it the 1st largest of 15 barangays in Ivisan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ilaya-Ivisan accounted for approximately 12.48% of the total population of Ivisan, which stood at 31,278 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Ilaya-Ivisan changed from 3,688 to 3,903, a shift of +5.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Ivisan. Barangay Ilaya-Ivisan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Ivisan is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ilaya-Ivisan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
