Barangay Poblacion Norte

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Poblacion Norte is one of the administrative divisions of Ivisan in Capiz, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion Norte had a population of 2,676. This made it the 3rd largest of 15 barangays in Ivisan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion Norte accounted for approximately 8.56% of the total population of Ivisan, which stood at 31,278 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion Norte changed from 2,482 to 2,676, a shift of +7.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Ivisan. Barangay Poblacion Norte is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Ivisan is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Capiz, which contains 473 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Poblacion Norte ranks 64th by 2020 population.
