Barangay Yabon

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Yabon is one of the administrative divisions of Janiuay in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Yabon had a population of 954. This made it the 35th largest of 60 barangays in Janiuay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Yabon accounted for approximately 1.43% of the total population of Janiuay, which stood at 66,786 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Yabon moving from 947 residents to 954 residents, an intercensal change of +0.7%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Yabon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
