Barangay Poblacion District III

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Poblacion District III is one of the administrative divisions of Julita in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion District III had a population of 725. This made it the 8th largest of 26 barangays in Julita by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion District III accounted for approximately 4.65% of the total population of Julita, which stood at 15,598 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 782 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 725 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -7.3%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion District III as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Julita is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion District III, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
