Barangay Villa Hermosa

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Villa Hermosa is one of the administrative divisions of Julita in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Villa Hermosa had a population of 619. This made it the 12th largest of 26 barangays in Julita by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Villa Hermosa accounted for approximately 3.97% of the total population of Julita, which stood at 15,598 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Villa Hermosa changed from 606 to 619, a shift of +2.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Julita. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Villa Hermosa as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Julita is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Villa Hermosa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
