Barangay Lapatan

Situated in Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte, Barangay Lapatan is one of 20 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lapatan had a population of 1,598. This made it the 13th largest of 20 barangays in Labason by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lapatan accounted for approximately 3.64% of the total population of Labason, which stood at 43,934 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lapatan moving from 1,358 residents to 1,598 residents, an intercensal change of +17.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
