Barangay Upper Maculan

Situated in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, Barangay Upper Maculan is one of 19 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Upper Maculan had a population of 2,916. This made it the 10th largest of 19 barangays in Lake Sebu by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Upper Maculan accounted for approximately 3.59% of the total population of Lake Sebu, which stood at 81,221 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Upper Maculan changed from 2,895 to 2,916, a shift of +0.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Lake Sebu.
