Barangay Balila

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Balila is one of the administrative divisions of Lantapan in Bukidnon, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Balila had a population of 4,151. This made it the 8th largest of 14 barangays in Lantapan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Balila accounted for approximately 6.29% of the total population of Lantapan, which stood at 65,974 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Balila moving from 3,747 residents to 4,151 residents, an intercensal change of +10.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Balila is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lantapan is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Balila, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
