Barangay Poblacion 10

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Poblacion 10 is one of the administrative divisions of Lawaan in Eastern Samar, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion 10 had a population of 1,222. This made it the 4th largest of 16 barangays in Lawaan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion 10 accounted for approximately 9.40% of the total population of Lawaan, which stood at 13,003 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,244 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,222 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -1.8%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion 10 as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lawaan is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion 10, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
