Barangay San Isidro

Situated in Lawaan, Eastern Samar, Barangay San Isidro is one of 16 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Isidro had a population of 201. This made it the 13th largest of 16 barangays in Lawaan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Isidro accounted for approximately 1.55% of the total population of Lawaan, which stood at 13,003 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 174 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 201 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +15.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay San Isidro is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lawaan is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Isidro, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
