Barangay Cabug

Barangay Cabug is a very small barangay in the municipality of Loon, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cabug had a population of 216. This made it the 61st largest of 67 barangays in Loon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabug accounted for approximately 0.49% of the total population of Loon, which stood at 44,224 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cabug moving from 213 residents to 216 residents, an intercensal change of +1.4%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cabug as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
