Barangay Catagbacan Norte

Barangay Catagbacan Norte is a small barangay in the municipality of Loon, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Catagbacan Norte had a population of 1,158. This made it the 8th largest of 67 barangays in Loon by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Catagbacan Norte accounted for approximately 2.62% of the total population of Loon, which stood at 44,224 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Catagbacan Norte changed from 1,267 to 1,158, a shift of -8.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Loon. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Catagbacan Norte as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
