Barangay Buenavista

Barangay Buenavista is a very small barangay in the municipality of Lopez, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Buenavista had a population of 379. This made it the 71st largest of 95 barangays in Lopez by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Buenavista accounted for approximately 0.40% of the total population of Lopez, which stood at 94,657 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Buenavista moving from 492 residents to 379 residents, an intercensal change of -23.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Buenavista as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
